Jonathan Blaustein is interested in exhibition and appropriate commercial
reproduction of the images from the series "The Value of a Dollar".
Jonathan Blaustein is a fine art photographer and writer based in Taos, NM.
He received his BA in history from Duke University, and his MFA from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn in 2004.
While living in Brooklyn, he founded and directed the underground gallery BQE33.
His photographs are in the permanent collections of Adobe Systems, Inc.,
the Albuquerque Museum, the Brooklyn Museum, the New Mexico Museum of Art,
and the Museum of Photographic Arts in San Diego, and have been exhibited extensively in the US.
Jonathan's work was recently exhibited at the Art Miami 2009, Art Chicago 2010, and is currently included
in the Photography 2010 exhibition at the Zane Bennett Gallery in Santa Fe, where he shows his work.
Photographs from The Value of a Dollar have been published internationally in Japan, England, Germany, Mexico, and Australia. The series took "Honorable Mention" in CENTER's 2010 project competition.
In 2009, Jonathan founded the online magazine Flash Flood, (now Finite Foto) with some colleagues in
Northern New Mexico, and has written articles on photography for Fraction Magazine and A Photo Editor
as well.
